For those of you who haven't yet had the fortune of meeting Rick, let me
introduce you to everyone's favorite white hat hacker. Rick moved to
Eugene about 7-8 years ago from Arizona where he co-founded HeatSync
, a makerspace which continues to thrive
today. And after moving here he promptly co-founded our very own and
beloved Eugene Makerspace...that's right, he's one of our founding
fathers. He has been taking a break from board duties these last few
years, but I think the time is right for his return.

Rick's credentials are amazing. For instance, in the recent past Rick has
organized and led 2 successful EMS Near Space Balloon Launch teams
; last year
he joined our autonomous navigating robot team and wrote a killer app for
uploading new mission parameters to our robot from our cell phones,
contributing to our 2nd place finish in the international robogames
competition in California; he has built pumpkin chuckers
, crafted fine leath
...
