For your interest, amusement and maybe as a mood booster, here's a very
witty, excellent survey of the upcoming energy revolution.

It's in 3 parts. It's long. I read a bit of it a day for a few days.

It talks about the US, and China, and the UK. It talks about wind and
solar are now the cheapest new energy development projects and how many
nations have reversed course and canceled their new coal projects and are
aggressively sunsetting existing coal plants. It covers electric
vehicles. It talks about smart grids.

As Makers in Eugene you obviously don't need to be convinced that
renewables are a big deal and that climate change is serious. You may
however need to be convinced that there's still hope, or need good talking
points for convincing others. This series is all about that.
